Is It Better To Be Lucky Or Good
My partner and I are in the process of buying a little rental house about an hour north. The scheduled close date is the middle of Dec 2011 and things looked pretty good.
Four days ago a wicked wind storm rips through the valley and leaves a wake of damage equal to a category 2 tornado.
A large section of the top layer was ripped off the east side of the house. I’m still in my buyers due diligence time frame so this roof problem is still the sellers. If the storm happened a week later the problem would have been mine / ours. As a real estate investor is it better to be lucky, good or both?
